Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel or quiet hostel near El Angel? |

The two hostels I know of closest to the Angel are B&B at Durango and Insurgentes and Casa Vieja at metro Sevilla. I would characterize neither as particularly quiet though.
Hotels around the Angel are fairly pricey...if you look in the area around the monumento de la Revolucion not too far away from the Angel, you'll find a number of hotels that are reasonably priced in the 150-300 peso per night range, such as the Hotel Oxford (my favorite), Carelton, and Pennsylvania. |

You would be much better off in Downtown DF. Easy bus/Metro/taxi ride to wherever you need to go.
Prices for a cheap hotel in downtown DF start as low as $10 bucks (bathroom down the hall) and about $40 a night gets you a very nice room. |
