Is anyone else familiar with this crowd? They operate out of South Africa and recruit mainly for the Gulf, although they've recently started recruiting for China.

I've been registered with Dynamic for about 2 years, and while they've never actually found me any work, they know I'm interested in working in the Gulf. Recently they asked me to state my 'absolute minimum salary expectation' and suggested that it should be no more than US$2700 per month. When I commented that US$2700 seemed rather low for the Gulf, they indirectly accused me of wasting their time. Charming!

With a BA in English, MA TESOL, Cert. IV TESOL, Grad. Dip. Ed. and 7 years of experience (2 of those years are post-MA, and half of my total experience has been in the Middle East), I would say that I'm probably worth more to a Gulf employer than a measly US$2700.

Whatever the people at Dynamic Personnel are smoking, it's making them delusional. If you see them advertising, at least now you'll know what you're in for if you sign up with them - comedy, pure comedy.

I don't see why anyone with your credentials would even talk a some recruiting company. You should just be applying directly to various universities around the Gulf... through their websites.

$2700 a month is not only low, it is laughable for someone with an MA. Typical of the crooks in the recruiting business.

You're right on all counts, VS. This was really just to let others know who these people are and what they're about.
