1. Regarding having to buy an onward ticket to prove to officials that you will leave Taiwan by the time your visa expires, someone here suggested to me, instead of actually purchasing an onward ticket, to use an old flight ticket and change the date. He said that he did it and it worked fine, therefore saving money on a ticket that possibly won't be used. I'd consider it depending on how thoroughly they investigate into that onward ticket (both at TECO and customs in Taiwan). Do they just look at it or do they really go through a process to check if it's valid? Your thoughts on that idea?

2. At which stages do they check for your onward flight ticket? Is it only at TECO for the issuing of the visa, or at the airports during arrival and departure as well?

3. I do have an old ticket from Korea Air during that time I taught in Korea, but do they even have Korea Air departing from Taiwan?

Thank you
