Fellow teachers,
Please AVOID Marks English School in Dajia, Chingshui or Fengyuan.
There are cases of tax being deducted from paychecks but no record of this at the tax office (not rumor, my knowledge is first hand) as well as the danger of deportation due to regular raids on the schools. The owner MOD EDIT does not obey the law, and cheats all foreign teachers who work for him.
You have been warned Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Just a friendly reminder that anyone thinking of taking a job from Marks English should really think again.....
They will underpay you
They will lie against you.....

Do not risk coming to Taiwan and being robbed

Just an update to let you all know that recently Marks English School in Chingshui was raided by immigration authorities for violations of the law.

Security agents with cameras quizzed the foreign teachers for hours....

Remember if you value your rights and freedoms, this is a school to AVOID

Just an update for you guys. This school recently fired a teacher, then destroyed all records of him ever having worked there, eg clock-in card destroyed, evicted from school dormitory.

Unbelievable that they can get away with this! They should be shut down!!

I finally managed to get this school onto a tefl blacklist after many months of trying, they should hopefully find it more difficult now to cheat and steal from foreign teachers who come over here to Taiwan to teach for them in good faith!!

Remember, the do these things
1. No legal contract
2. Illegal work practices (they say it's a buxiban but really it's a kindergarten)
3. Never pay any tax for you, despite deducting it every month
4. Coerce you into working for free
5. Invade your privacy in the accommodation provided
6. Falsify recorded relating to your ARC, visa, time sheet etc.

BE WARNED, STAY AWAY!!!!!!
