Been following this for awhile...pretty cool. Space geeks have been clamouring for some time that we should send people to Mars and here are some concrete steps towards the goal. Still a long way off though. I'm guessing the Chinese will get there first. |

Failure seems to be the name of the game re Mars - not just for the Russians. With luck, things will be ironed out before the manned missions... hic! |

Hic! There wasn't too much cash washing about when the first man flew into space fifty odd years ago. Belief and Socialist ardour can carry one beyond the usual limits, hic! The cosmos is a Russian domain, hic! Even the first rockets carrying satellites shew that: Vostok, meaning, 'The East'... ura! |

Well, NASA managed to get theirs off the ground. Curiosity lands in August. NASA has had a good run of luck and great science with landers on Mars over the last 20 years. This one will be great to watch. |
