I totally agree that driving is THE number one danger in the KSA. Absolutely other-worldly insane. I am still traumatized from it.

I had my own vehicle while there and I really enjoyed that freedom. I lived in Ras Tanura for a year, and having my own wheels allowed me to go to Jubail for diving lessons or to Khobar for a run or party. Even when I lived in Khobar, I loved having the car.

DRIVING IS A LARGE DANGER THERE...know that.

BTW, any of you considering Iraq? Driving is probably safer...
