| This is kind of a mundane question, but what salary should I ask for at your average bilingual colegio that is willing to hire foreigners? I know there`s a lot of variation, but I don`t know--I make around 500 dollars a month at institutes. Every time I tell a colegio "I`m open" to a proposed salary, they either look at me in disbelief or tell me I have to give them a number. I don`t really know what the norm is. |

Where is it? I worked for one in La Molina and got $800. IN Miraflores I was offered a coordinator position for $700, laughable.
Tell them $1000 or $1500 and see what they say, changes are they'll bargain with you anyways. |

| San Pedro, Magistar, a couple others that I´m applying to. 1500 in Lima seems kind of high for someone who is unestablished and relatively unexperienced, but maybe that´s my problem--I should act like I´m the shit. Thanks for the reply, that gives me a point of reference. |
