Hey everybody. I am new to the world of TESOL, but I have been doing a lot of research over the past couple months and have recently decided that I would love to teach in Ecuador. I will graduate from college this May, and then I plan to head to Ecuador around July. What I really need to decide right now is which course to take: SIT TESOL at EIL (Quito) or CELTA at Southern Cross (Guayaquil). I found some threads relating to these organizations, but there was not much up-to-date information about the actual certification courses. If anyone has recently taken either one of these courses I would love to hear your opinion. Thanks so much!

Both courses have good reputations. In terms of content and teaching practice there is little to choose between them. However, the CELTA brand name is better known worldwide.
