|
|
I have been to a few schools where I just needed to visit them for the interview. Now I am being asked to go to the recruiter's office, later to be asked to have a demo video made.
I don't care about the video thing, but I would prefer visiting the school first. If they need a demo at the school, the recruiters could take a video then.
I understand they want to advertise the video first, but I don't like the idea of them showing schools that we are unaware of.
What are your thoughts? Should we stop allowing this or does it not matter? Do you make videos before you get a new school? |

I would never do a demo for a recruiter. |

Completely agree with Simon in Suzhou and Non Sequitur.
You can be sure the video will be used as advertisement one way or the other. The school I worked for in Guangxi still uses my pictures on their school website and I haven't worked there for more than 2 years. They also use pictures of teachers who were there and GONE before I even arrived!
I'd NEVER do a video demonstration for a recruiter. I avoid doing them for the I.S. where I work as well. I'll do all the live, real-time demonstration lessons that my school wants me to do, but I don't do recorded demos. You just can't be sure how that information will be used ... it could end up on Weibo or something like that whether you accept the job offer or not. And you'll never see a single Wu Mao for the advertising you draw in to the recruiting agency or the school.
