So I'm planning on taking the August '12 CELTA with the British Council in Krakow. From there, the GOAL is to get a job teaching English, somewhere in Poland. But HOW?!

WHEN is the optimal time to begin the job seeking process? Is there a hiring season? I understand schools begin their academic calender in October. Since my TEFL course runs the month of August, will that provide an adequate window of time to look/find work?

WHAT is the optimal means of communicating with potential employers? CV though the mail/e-mail, then phone? Or show up at the school in person? I'd love to stay in Krakow, but wonder how many others have the same plan? Say I'm in Warsaw, but have an interested employer in Gdansk, must I go for the interview?

I'm a bit nervous about it all, any info you guys can provide me would be fantastic. Thanks in advance.

fyi:
I'm 33, Polish-American, have attained a couple of undergraduate degrees, I have a smidge of teaching experience, and am as charming as all gets out. ;)

I second that. It answers all the questions, and more.

Wow, your website on ESL in Poland is fantastic! It definitely has me considering a switch next door from the Czech Republic. Thanks so much for all the hard work that must have gone into that.
