Quote:
Britannia School of English, Kurdistan
$2500 (USD) a month, tax free
Free flat and all bills paid by us (except telephone and other personal expenses)
Free pre-paid flights
Contract length negotiable (min 2 months, but would prefer longer)
All materials provided – CUP
Free transport to and from workplace
Full Iraq insurance

Based on reports from former teachers, the description of school is grossly exaggerated. They have a record of not honoring contracts. There is no “Full Iraq insurance”. Teachers are given a free inbound flight. How you get back is your problem. BSE decide whether you deserve a return flight. Single tickets to Europe cost over $1300. BSE require you to teach whatever hours at whatever times they decide. Another case of once you’re there you’re theirs.

Sounds like a trap for newbees. Are there any reputable colleges in Kurdistan? Kurds here in the UK say it's safe but the pay is low. Any advice appreciated.
