I wanted to find out if I could teach in the UAE with having no teaching experience as I know some countries do allow Native English Speakers with a minimum qualification of a Bachelors Degree to do so?

Short answer: No.
Most newbies with just a BA get their start in Asia.

Thanks much

I think you'll find the UAE is in Asia. Wink

It seems the best place 'moneywise' for a newbie these days is S. Korea.

I think no matter where you go, you should really get a CELTA first. It might seem like a lot of money (and it's an intensive month) but it will pay dividends. Not only will you likely be a better teacher as a result, but the students who are paying (often quite a lot in local terms, especially in some Asian countries) really deserve to be taught by someone who's spent at least a month getting to know the ropes....

Hi,
I am still trying to find the general Middle East forum, but all I found were pages for individual countries, so here goes.
Question about distance MA TESOLs from red brick UK universities - are they generally acceptable in the UAE?
Thanks.

Really... you can't find the General Forum? It is right at the bottom of the Middle East section:

As to your question about the UAE. Distance or Online degrees from accredited universities are recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education (teaching at university level), but NOT by the Ministry of Education (for teaching K-12 in the schools)

At least this was true last we heard here.
