Hello, I need some ideas for a niche to begin writing a blog. What areas are you interested in as an English teacher abroad? Can be a certain aspect of teaching or maybe a particular interest in living and working in a foreign country in general. But, it does not have to be related to those things at all. Just, what are some interests of Dave's ESL members? What types of sites and forums do you frequent. Any help? Thanks.

I enjoy the music of The Beach Boys, and anything about Northern Ireland, and sports. I love sports.

I'd happily read a blog about any of those things.

My interests range from Hegelian dialectics, Soviet rocketry, class struggle, and quality vodka. And in between inciting the masses to revolt, I dabble in EFL.

So what is the purpose of you writing your blog? I'm not really familiar with why people write blogs. Is it so that people will read your blog? If so, then I wouldn't really read a blog on things I am interested in, i.e. my hobbies, but rather information on teaching methods and ideas for English language learners.

Well, a lot of people find it hard to think of lesson plans, games and activities: how about one like that, perhaps with mix and match permutations of grammar and vocabulary.

Conversational activities?
