Based on this article (http://www.nature.com/news/2007/070430/full/news070430-13.html), some maggots are good and can keep an infected area free of bacteria!

What should we call Prep year teachers then...

Bet you wouldn't dare say that to anyone's face.

Dear scot47,

Slight correction - we may THINK we're all heroes, but it's a lot more likely we're all zeroes.

Regards,

Well this year there is a new professional system that is requiring its teachers to complete a weekly lesson plan at KSU. Not only that there will be buzz observations and two regular observations per academic year. This coupled with the background checks and punctuality (punch clock) issues will give KSU teachers a stress factor that may break them. Even if one is able to jump through all these hoops, how long can it be done? Retention is a pipe dream that will never be realized here at KSU. One monkey can do a beter job at running the PY programme than all those stuffy, credential ladened Saudi hierarchy hypocrites.

Do not worry. Relax. Everything is going to be all right.
In your dreams.

what i don't understand is the teachers who complain and complain yet they still remain at KSU or in their current position. I have said it before and i will say it again. if you are not happy at the job or in KSU or any where find another job and leave. Yes KSU is not the best nore is working for any of these companies specially "i lie a lot" ICEAT. Well the project manager who constantly lies and constantly chats a lot of crap does not help and his new side kick Mr G as he likes to be called. Bunch of Bsing crap

I believe it's called being a quantity-of-life kind of person. In this world if you want to continue to breathe you have to have money. "It's the paycheck, stupid!"

I'm not calling you stupid, milliman. I'm just modifying a quote from the first Clinton campaign to make a point.

In today's global economy there simply aren't a lot of vocational choices for people.

Au contraire, mon frère!

In this world if you want to continue to breathe you have to have education.

As I tell my students, their first valuable paycheque is a school-leaver's certificate from which eventuate fortnightly monetary certificates.

In today's global economy there simply aren't a lot of vocational (or professional white-collar) choices for minimally-educated people.

Regardless of monetary need, Edex should be your last choice. Even a lower paying job in another country will probably net you more in the end. There are a lot of hidden costs to working with Edes, in what you really won't receive, cost of rehab, etc.

Just try buying food at your local supermarket by presenting the cashier with your diploma! Let me know how that turns out. There are a lot of unemployed people with diplomas.

There are people who make a lot of money without diplomas. The bottom line is the money. There's no getting around that. If you're going for a diploma it's to get money. There's no life without it. There can be life without a diploma.

MEB is right on this the only reason why we go for education and get the certificate is to get higher up on the job ladder and earn as much money as we can.

But if you are here to make money and want to "stack up" than you have to shut up and put up with the stupidity. Otherwise keep moaning and complaining and leave the country there are other places where you can earn money and still save up cash which means in the long run you can stop moaning and complaining.

Agreed! And there are other places in KSA, besides, KSU, ICEAT, and EDEX. If you are with them, look for something better all the time. And if you are thinking of joining them, find something better.

In other words, "Shut up or get out!"

That's just sad and it encapsulates the reason these crummy employers can get away with it, unless people stop accepting these crummy contracts.
