Are you talking about getting involved in social/economic development projects? If so, I suggest you look at the oneworld.net website. It contains information about paid and voluntary work with a host of NGOs in developing countries. Of course you need to have a useful skill; good intentions and enthusiasm are not enough. You know how it is.

The short answer is no, although I'd like to work for one sometime in the future.

Bolivarian Circles are being formed all over the world--and they are now in other Latin American countries besides Venezuela. They are fluid in that they are there to determine community needs and try to respond to them. Check them out. There you are dealing with the real people in the communities--and it's a dialog, not an extension approach (try reading Paulo Freire: "Extensin vs. Comunicacin"). I know some folks doing some interesting things on the Pacific coast of Oaxaca, in Mexico--one project is infant stage has to do with Seaponics as a way to preserve "soberana alimentaria". At some point--if the project goes forward--I hope to set one up on the coast of Venezuela and the coast of Ecuador...
