House: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOkZjwE4vJE&feature=related

The Wire: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXtORMmePCI

The Walking Dead: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOuB-3qcv-4

Well, there's a few at least. What I want to know, really, is if these guys get to be actors in the US, then why can't I be a TEFL teacher there too?!

That's obvious: there's so much demand for television stars that the US can't grow enough of them at home, so they get special visa exemptions. Just like engineers in France and air traffic controllers in the Middle East.

Can you act? Come on over! Confused Very Happy

Alternatively, you could consider television commentary. CNN could use an addition to Piers Morgan and Richard Quest.

A shame that so many have to adopt an American accent, though. Hugh Laurie's is more American than his co-stars! Also Anna Friel, Emily Lloyd and Bob Hoskins come to mind (some of them in movies, I know).

Not enough Americans who can act? Surely not? Do those who are without an Equity card all try their luck in the EU, I wonder?

Can I act? Of course! We in the Motherland have the best training for actors in the world! Surely you know this already?

Well I think we should only have Americans on TV. We all know that non-Americans are not fully human - especially the ones that talk funny.

Even many of the "Americans" tend to hold dual citizenship.
