First time reader, and poster.

To all those with teaching experience in Asia and Taiwan.

What are the chances of finding employment with simply a Tesol Certificate and two College Diplomas in Law and Electrical Engineering.

Any information would be appreciated,

We need a lot more information than what you provided us... As it stands, we can't even make an evaluation as to whether you'd be able to get a work visa. Let's sort that out, first.

What kind?
Crappy unaccredited fly-by-night online cert with no teaching practice?
CELTA/CELTYL?
CTEFLA?

What length? One year? 18 months? Two years? Three years? Four years?

Ditto. Like:
- What's your nationality?
- In what country did you finish those diplomas?
- Do you have any special status with Taiwan (i.e. married to a Taiwanese, holding an APRC, ethnically Chinese/Taiwanese, etc.)?
- Is your native language English?

Without knowing the answers to those questions, we can't even tell you if you're eligible for a work visa to teach English in Taiwan. And without a work visa, you can't work in Taiwan legally (unless you're a Chinese or Taiwanese national, of course).

Not essential, but also important:
- Teaching experience?
- Mandarin/Taiwanese ability level?
- Sex/race/age/appearance (I don't care, but employers do)?
