Just wondering where my fellow British ex pats buy their comfort foods when they get the urge....if that urge still is there. Any DF international markets or British specific shops i should check out? Oxo cubes, HP sauce, Terry's Oranges have been on my mind lately.

Thanks in advance for all who reply.

HP Sauce is available in Commercial Mexicana/Mega. Oxo and Terry's Oranges I haven't found.

Liverpool stocks Colman's products, which is good if you appreciate REAL mustard, and an easy way to make cheese sauce. Also Baxter's soups in Commercial Mexicana. In the Pilares branch they regularly have kippers, although some strange Canadian presentation where they cut them into little pieces and put them in a can. How I long for the boil-in-a-bag version with the little rosette of butter. A few weeks ago, in the the same place, I even found cockles (berberechos in Spanish), but they were over $100 and disappeared after a week.

Now just tell me where I can find Marmite, and REAL sausages!

In the case of Fish 'n' Chips, Cornish Pasties, Crumpets, and anything else I fancy (rather than ingredients).... I make them!
