Hello all,

I am currently apt searching in Istanbul. I am looking in the Cihangir/Cukurcuma area. So far I have been using mostly craigslist and couchsurfing as well as working with someone from the academy I will be working for.

I was wondering if anyone had any reliable websites or any other advice.

I realise Cihangir/Cukurcuma can be expensive areas but sort of have my heart set on this area. Thanks in advance!

Ugh, did not initially see a similar thread toward the bottom of page one.

For that I am sorry. Extra advice still welcome however.

You could try looking on www.sahibinden.com. There is an English option. I also suggest looking for rent by "owner" to avoid some of the emlak fees.

Thanks for the advice Shalana. I have been on the site you posted and without much luck. However I have been having much better luck with craigslist and couchsurfing since creating this thread.

Anyways, thanks again for the reply!
