Hello all Smile I was wondering if you could offer any advice/tips for a friend who will be moving to Dammam. She will be living in a compound (husband is British military) and she has a baby. Is there anyone here who has moved there with their children and/or brought their family who can share their experiences?

My only experience in the ME is Cairo when I was single without the kiddos, and I know that is apples to oranges Laughing This is not an optional move for her so if it's a "don't go!" then perhaps some advice on "how to deal" Laughing

Much appreciated.

Inside is OK if you have a nice residence.

Outside is hot, dirty/dusty and women must cover up with abaya.

Dammam is close to Bharain......bout an hour or less by car....thats the escape.

By "British military" I assume that you are talking about BAE. If so the compound will have enerything required but BOREDOM will be a great enemy !
