Hello all. I'm heading for Trabzon, and it occurred to me that I might head over the Georgian border to Batumi, which is only three hours away. And so I thought that I'd ask about something I wondered about for awhile.
Seeing how as I'm allowed to stay in Georgia indefinitely for any purpose, and I hear the cost of living is quite low, I'm wondering if it would be possible to make a living on my own. I'm not interested in the volunteer opportunities on account of the homestay bit, (and the going through recruiters bit, and a few other things) and it's clear from older posts here that private language schools in Georgia generally pay about the same as the volunteer program.
But I know that in Turkey and most other countries private lessons often run several times the pay rate for classes, and unlike in Turkey I'd be free to advertise openly, and not just have to go through word-of-mouth.
Any thoughts on this? Is it worth a shot? What's the going rate for privates in Georgia anyways?
Thanks and regards,
