we're going to Brunei in january, and i'll be on a dependant's visa. not having kids or skin that likes sunning, i'll need something to occupy me. i've pretty much been offered a job and am looking at others, that's not the issue.
should i: arrive with teh dependant's, check out the job, leave the country for a couple days to apply for the working visa (this worked in korea, but they had a super-fast turn around on work visas), OR get the work visa sorted from here?
also, we've found a mixed-martial art club, but wonder if anyone knows of kickboxing?
finally, for hourly pay from an employer who isn't providing housing or flights, for a 10 month contract, what would be silly vs reasonable? i'm not the breadwinner, but i do have payments to make and don't wish to work for free. |
