I'm curious! I just saw those giant monitor lizards at Lumphini Park and was wondering if anyone else has seen crazy jungle animals around.
.....and GO! |

I have seen smaller monitors in residential areas just walking down the middle of the street. Gibbons just north of Chaing Mai, a 12 foot Burmese Python and interestingly an elephant with a rider on the shoulder of the road in Pathum Thani. |

In BKK I've seen plenty of monitor lizards swimming the canals. A 20ft salt water crocodile (on the news) usually washes up every rainy season. I've seen the odd snake but the prize goes to my neighbour who lived in an old wooden house by the Chao Pryor, went down for a shower one morning and opened the bathroom door to find a cobra had climbed up the shower drain. |
