Hi all,
I'm pretty new to the world of English Language Teaching, but my aim is to soon be working in Madrid. I recently took a CELTA course, and will begin Vaughan System's two week training on 10th September, to hopefully become employed as freelance. However this is not secure yet and if I do not pass my plan B will be to dish out my CV all around the city and see what I can get.
From what I can gather, September is the busy period for recruitment of teachers, but are most decent jobs gone by the end of September? Basically if my plan A doesn't work out I'll have to get around to as many schools as possible, and just wondered what the chances are of me finding something toward the end of September...
Thanks for any help! |

Oh you'll easily find something late September, especially in Madrid. Recruitment times seem to be getting later and later in Spain. I sent out lots of CVs early September last year and got hardly any replies at first, except for a few out in the sticks. Then they all came in in a flood after 20 September. I was still getting replies throughout October and even into early November. |
