Hi, I am looking to become an EFL teacher in the future. Currently, I do local private tutoring and participate in English conversation clubs and volunteer at the local library. I am hoping to get my CELTA abroad.
I met someone recently whom I may tutor in the future. She is a professor, and recommended me to check out Kent English. I was wondering if anyone has had personal experience with them and what they thought of it. Also, what are the requirements (CELTA, BA?) to work for them? They have their own teaching certification program, but frankly I would rather have a CELTA for obvious reasons.
I did a search for Kent and the latest info appears to be over a year old, so any recent experiences are much appreciated! |

I have no recent info for you.
However, I left Turkey in 2010. During my six odd years there, the few times I heard anything about Kent, it was overwhelmingly positive.
I had an interview with them years ago. I declined because although I was given a good rate per class, there was no guarantee of hours (even a minimum) and no rent allowance.
Sorry I couldn't offer something more recent.
