I would like to know the best time to begin searching for another position at the university level for the 2013-2014 school year? I was told by some the best time would between October and December of 2012. I would just like some feedback as to your opinion.
Thanks |

Job postings for the upcoming academic year typically appear early in the year. Oct-Dec 2012 seems a bit too early for recruiting for 2013-2014, but that's not written in stone. There's also TESOL Arabia's job fair in Dubai in March. However, I suggest you periodically check out tesol.org's career center as well as higheredjobs.com and chronicle.com for a variety of direct-hire, university-level employment opportunities. A lot of job seekers tend to overlook these job-rich sites. |

I am in the same boat, hoping to get a job for September, and everyone seems to be telling me to wait until after January.
Any other info?

There's three things you should be doing in the meantime;network, network and ....erm,oh yes-network!
"getting to know you, getting to know all about you"as Anna said in the King and I.When I needed a job a while ago i had a few offers from my ex-employers/managers who knew me,and what I could do. |
