Have you got Italian or EU citizenship? If you can claim Italian ancestry, for example, there's no legal bar on you working here. But other than that, you give no indication of what teaching work you want to do, what your quals or experience are... Why not go through the rest of the posts here to see if they answer any of your questions.

Thanks so much for your reply!!! Yes I am an Italian citizen, so requiring a work visa is not an issue for me. I have been teaching both Spanish and English in the US. Currently I am a Spanish high school teacher.
I am actively pursuing relocating to Italy (Milan, Verona or Bolzano). Again, I appreciate any help/advice you can offer!!!

You've just missed the main recruiting time (early September) but some jobs are advertised again for the beginning of January.

I think it's unlikely that you will secure work in Italy from the US - you'll really need to be on the ground and available to be hired.

I also think that just looking at ads is only going to be half of your job hunt. Many schools / institutions won't bother advertising, as they'll have plenty of people sending in their CVs.

What sort of teaching work do you want, anyway?

I'm looking for any kind of teaching job; part time or full time teaching English, Spanish or both! Needless to say, I prefer full time! Ive seen websites where they require payment for placing you, but I know that in the US that's illegal. Is it the same in Italy?? Thanks again for your suggestions!

Don't pay! Really your best bet would be to come over and scour for jobs yourself. Pick a city, prepare your CV, then start knocking on some doors.

In some smaller language schools, the fact you can teach Spanish might be an extra selling point.

TEFL.com and Eslbase are both good. You can get jobs in your chosen country emailed to you.
