To be more precise, it originally appeared in the second volume of Rumpole stories, The Trials of Rumpole, in "Rumpole and the Man of God". Are you a Rumpole fan too?

Well done you got the author Max Hastings, the book was Bomber Command.

This is from Fyodor Dostoyevsky's "The Possessed". I have the English translation, but sometimes it is translated as " The Devils" or" Demons".
