|
|
What is this rubbish I'm being told about flat rate tax for part-time employees?
I've been quoted 20% for non-residents (acceptable, as this is the correct figure for non-resident workers).
And a flat-rate of 10% for residents.
My understanding of the law is that you have 4mil a month tax free (+1.6mil per dependant).
After the 4mil, you pay an amount of tax following a tax-band regime:
First 5mil: 5%
5-10mil: 10%
10-18mil: 15%
18-32mil: 20%
32-52mil: 25%
52-80mil: 30%
Above 80mil: 35%.
Is this 10% lawful? Is this written anywhere in a law to anyone's knowledge? Is this common practice? Further I'm being asked for 1.5% for a health insurance contribution? What is this? |

Its probably not lawful. Who knows if they are actually paying any tax they claim they are. Its not worth bothering about. Just take the check. You won't get in any trouble at your end of the bargain. Just work out your budget and if your paycheck is what they said it would be. Be happy. Otherwise they will work out a way to take more money off you. |
