The way the US goes, so too will Jpns case law. Unless some enterprising litigant decides to file in Japan and beats the US courts to the punch. |

One of the reasons why employers will lose lawsuits like this in the US is because Facebook pages almost always have lots of personal information - things such as age and race (and possibly religion and nationality as well) - can be easily found. |

Exactly right. I've said it before and I'll say it again, IMO the average HR staffer anywhere on the planet is a moron. Asking for facebook access or, say, watching a video resume, just announces it for all the world to see. And sue. |
