What I love...
-The friends I have in Moscow
-Looking at the city from the lookout near the Science Building
-Soccer games (Basketball too)
-The upcoming Track & Field Championships
-The ballet and theater
-Strolling through ГУМ
-The cheap and fresh food at the rinoks
-Super fast internet at a good price
-Cheap cell phone options
-Exploring a part of the city I've never been to
-Sunday services at the Orthodox church
-The fact that the metro is reliable and comes often
-Taking off my jacket in the metro (during the winter), and getting some crazy looks from fellow passengers
-Shorma
-Aeroflot and Transaero prices from NYC
teacher X - To answer some of your questions...
-There's always open art on old Arbat street
-There's a few places in the city for artsy hipsters - flacon.ru
-Though coffee shops, clockfacer.ru, has a few around town. It's all you can eat/drink, and you pay by the time. Seems like it would be similar to the style you're referring to. I think they have (or would be open to) live gigs. |
