Has anyone worked in Chelyabinsk Russia? Apart from the recent meteorites and nuclear power facility nearby, I don't know much about it. My girlfriend and I are considering whether to take the risk and move out there to teach English. Has anybody done this? If so, what were the conditions and school like and is it feasible to save money while working? Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks |

Hi
I am currently working in Chelyabinsk. It is an industrial city but there are plenty of restaurants and bars and I am told clubs (am a bit too old for that). Plenty of shops. The ex-pat community seems to be small but then again I haven't really tried to find any other ex-pats outside the school.
The school I work for is great - quite small but students are well-motivated and the staff are very helpful.
The city is surrounded by lakes, someone told me 1000 but I haven't counted!
If you have more questions feel free to ask. |
