Hey, I've been applying to schools in Hong Kong for more than 6 months, always as Full-time positions only and applying from the US. I've had a few interviews, and a few went quite well I thought but a candidate that was already in Hong Kong already was always chosen over me.
I will be traveling to Hong Kong in December and part of January and was wondering if this will help my job outlook actually being in the city and able to interview in person.
Also, I was wondering if looking for part-time positions might be beneficial to get my foot in the door and some experience. I don't think I could live on part-time work for too long a length a time though.
I have my degree a TEFL certificate which I plan to bring to Hong Kong with me. Any tips on getting a job when actually in Hong Kong? You can PM if you want to remain private as well. |

The problem wouldn't be so much surviving on a part time income as getting an employer to sponsor you for a visa for a part-time job - you'd need to bring something spectacular to the table for that to happen. |
