Hello,
I'm an expat who desperately wants to return to his family in the USA. I would appreciate any advice.
The good news: I have, quite honestly, a very impressive resumemany years of experience in the USA and abroadmuch of it at the university level. In addition, I am the author of several ESL-related textbooks. I have an MA in Linguistics but no teaching certification.
The bad news: I am in my late 50s, which means I am likely to be the victim of age discrimination. No matter what the laws are, it still happens. And I need to make enough to support a family. Our kids are still fairly young, and a part-time, adjunct, no benefit job just wont work for me.
Do I have any hope? Id really appreciate any adviceeither of a general nature or about specific employment opportunities. Im based in the Midwest but will consider anything.
Thanks
