I have been searching the Thai boards for more info on TEFL Thai but haven't found much.

Has anyone been able to successfully implement the full 9 graduate credits (it is a steal considering the cost of the course and the cost of 9 graduate credits) towards the Master's degree with SUNY (for example SUNY Stony Brook has a Master's in Linguistics or TESOL) ? My family is in New York so going home to finish or finishing a Master's in Thailand make the options more flexible.

The one major drawback is this 120 hour course is not CELTA nor Trinity, but considering the cost for the graduate credits more than makes up for the cost of a CELTA (which can be taken at a later date), I think it is a financially sound idea...

That is if what they say in their FAQ is true, which I have reason to doubt but would hope someone has personal experience on this besides the school's homepage.

I would hope the Master's is also accepted worldwide.... in places such as the Middle East particularly....

Even better would be if a CELTA could count as credit towards a Master's degree.....

CELTA is only an entry level cert course and I don't believe it's accepted by any reputable university as credit towards a post-grad degree. DELTA is another story; it's a higher-level course and compatable with post grad study.
Degrees from universities in non-Anglophone countries are often not accepted by better employers...SUNY should be OK.
