I was wondering how far in advance I can get my police background check before I arrive in Bangkok. Does it have to be 30 days, 60 days, etc?

Typically, when they are asked for, up to 6 months from date of issue ....

They are not always asked for.
Legalization (notarized / apostille) is not required.
