So, last week, a student came into class and said, "Teacher, I thought I saw you, but it was another teacher."

I asked, "Who was it?"

He said, "I don't know."

I told him it was probably TEACHER'S NAME, and then I described the difference. I asked if he knew that teacher. He said no.

Today, the same student and I were talking and then he asked about next semester. He is already being taught by this teacher by his responses. He even said the teacher's name.

+1

Most incredible story I've ever read on this forum, or even anywhere. Reminds me of Fight Club. Maybe other teacher is like your Tyler Durden. Or something.

It's a simple story of a mystery wrapped in a puzzle surrounded by an enigma and containing a possible paradox.

If you were taking a class with 2 teachers from another country, wouldn't you remember them?

This student wondered who this teacher was and asked me about him one week and then the following week indicated he is already being taught by that teacher.

But I agree, it is a cool story Laughing

I also had trouble following the OP. Perhaps the student simply didn't understand and said whatever he thought was appropriate...

Or the problem is the OP himself. As the Bard said, more or less, the fault lies not in our students, Horatio, but in ourselves. Confused

No it was the same student. He makes simple mistakes like calling chalk chopsticks Laughing

Today I asked students to pick a place to vacation to and visit. Then, they went over things they would do after they chose a country or city.

One "girl" said she wanted to go to Thailand to get a sex change. I wasn't expecting that Smile

I am of the opinion that the OP is slightly to somewhat insane.

Cloudy thinking at best.

Just very strange posts. Residual job troubles in China and in that other place not to be named, which he has detailed again and again in a rather confusing manner.

At first I wondered if I was having reading comprehension problems. But then, it seemed like a host of others were having similar reading comprehension problems as his posts were making sense to none of us.

So either we're all as dumb as a box of nails or more likely, the OP has ... issues.
