At first glance it seems that they got the state names very wrong. But look again: this is a clever map that presents data about Mexican murder statistics by state by comparing each state to the entire country with the most similar statistic. There are three tabs above the map, so you can view 1) murder counts, 2) murder rates (deaths per population), and 3) population sizes. |
