Hello Everyone!
Hope this helps in your search! (My Credentials are M.Ed. in TEFL, PGDE, 10 years experience in UK & Korea) I thought I'd share my experiences with you. Of the last year, I interviewed at several unis in HK/Macau, this is what I was offered:
CityU - 25,000 HKD (no housing allowance) These people are a joke!!!! From what I hear, LOW offers are normal for them!
PolyU - around 33,000 HKD (no housing allowance, heaviest workload, 20+ contact hours per week!)
SCAD HK - 35,000 HKD per month (no housing allowance) Disorganised!
UMacau - 39,000 Pataca per mounth (no housing allowance)
Just due to cost of living in HK, ended up going to UMacau. BUT not sure if any there is hope for higher salaries at HKU or ChineseU. |

| I hear that universities in Hong Kong require long hours and give teachers short vacations. Salaries have also fallen in recent years. Doesn't seem all that attractive as a potential place to teach. I hear Macau is much of the same, with fewer options. |
