Hi all,
I'm considering on-line tutoring until I'm relaunched overseas. Does anyone know anything about http://recruit.tutorabc.com/program/applynow.asp
In general, are there pitfalls beyond possibly not getting any students?

I have been curious about Open English, but all their advertisements I have seen said that you must speak and write Spanish or Portuguese at an intermediate level in order to apply. Is that really the case or do they sometimes accept applicants who do not meet that particular requirement?

ms01, it is not a requirement as such, but definitely an advantage. Given the success of the company, there are a lot of applicants so I believe those with Spanish and/or Portuguese get filtered first. However, OE is on a large recruitment drive at the moment, and if your CV is compelling, there's nothing to lose! I can think of at least one of my colleagues who has moved on to higher things in the company, and doesn't speak either language.
