Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone had any information on working for Maple Bear Canadian Kindergartens in HCMC?
I haven't heard great things about them in Hanoi, but I don't want to tar them all with the same brush.
Thanks in advance for any info. |

Skip Skip Skip.
Run by the same people as in Hanoi. Recently replaced several foreign teachers with local teachers because it was 'cheaper' ... now trying to replace the local teachers with foreign teachers as the 'parents' prefer it.
A disorganized mess even by Vietnamese standards. |

Oh dear. Thanks for the info.
I only have an interview there but as I have a job already I'm wondering if it's worth bothering with if it's going to be anything like Hanoi.
It's also a contract until August and I'm not sure if I'm going to be sticking around that long. I know most companies have a notice policy but I have heard of some of the international schools having certain length contracts with mention of being able to hand in your notice early. |

Hanoi and HCMC share the same upper management for MapleBear and Citysmart. Quite often someone from another city is running the location as the this company is the only one I have ever known that turns over managers quicker than teachers and all other staff combined.
From my exp. with this company, Hanoi is a little better than HCMC |
