|
|
Hi everyone
I was advised to post this on the Middle East Forum.
I've got a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education) for teaching Mathematics from the UK. I've taught Mathematics for several years in secondary schools in the UK. I'm just completing an online TEFL course.
Could I please ask:
Would I be able to get a ESL/EFL job (not Maths) in the Middle East based on the above certificates?
Thank you. |

Online certs won't get you anything you would want. If you do a search you can see what the better employers require, and get, from applicants.
You are qualified to teach math - why not try the better international schools k-12? |

| An online cert isn't worth the paper it's printed on; you'd need some solid, TEFL-related qualifications and experience to teach EFL in this region. As Helen suggested, why not pursue a position teaching math in an international school? Look at the postings and requirements on teachaway.com. |

| CELTA or similar is required by most decent employers in KSA. |
