I regret not bringing my indie/foreign films. Yongsan sells just about any mainstream flick for cheap, but try your hand at finding Bergman, Ozu, or Kurosawa films with English subtitles and you're pretty much SOL.

One of the few things I miss about living in West LA is the quick walk to Cinefile, where I could get just about any obscure/artsy/foreign movie on the monthly membership. T_T

Can anyone tell me what the luggage restrictions are? I'm coming from the U.S.
I have a huge list of stuff to bring for my one year in Korea not to mention the load of stuff I have to bring for family members (christmas gifts and stuff)

All I know is 70lbs is the limit but how many pieces of luggage can I bring three???

I should have brought custard, gravy and sage and onion stuffing. A recent visit from Mama put that right however...

I should also have put all my music onto my laptop.

And not left my toilitries bag at Newcastle airport.

Or left my dad to (mis)manage my credit card bills.


On the plus side.....

I did bring:

6 cans of Lynx deodorant
A years supply of Gillette Mach 3 Turbo razor blades (40 for �30 on Ebay)
A years supply of contact lenses (cheap in Korea but still a hassle)
A big towel (!)
A healthy selection of credit cards

Big, fluffy towels (the towels here are all so small); big cups (I refill mine nine times during a meal); big shoes (i wear a size 9 women's and i have to get a custom order here if i want shoes); big robes (along with big clothes, I'm a size 8 in the states and nothing fits me here);

I did throw in a pillow as a last minute thought to fill out my bag when I came here. Glad I did. Now I've been searching for a nice pillow for 2 years, can't find one. First I bought from Carefour and Walmart, but they are these tiny stiff pillows. Then I found some that looked nice from Costco, but there not right. They 'spring back' to original shape, some kind of foam inside. My two year old pillow (actually 4 years old, was old already when I brought it) is getting worn out. I'll be buying more pillows next month in America.
