It's a little late to ask this, but it seems my director has no clue, my recruiter didn't email promised exact details on where is and how to get to the consulate and what we have to pay. We leave tomorrow morning and have not even been given our tickets yet, does Korean Air do these short hops from Gimpo or Incheon to Osaka or Kansai? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It depends upon what country you're from.

If I remember correctly, Canucks are paying about 6000 yen. But dont quote me on that.

Just tell your boss to give you about 200,000 won in trip money and that should cover all of your expenses... If you're making the afternoon run. If you're staying for a few days, get much much more from him.

6,000 yen, and that should be no matter where you're from. We just had two teachers do the run over Chusok - one from the US and the other from England. They both paid 6,000 yen.

When I went 2 months ago, my American co-worker paid 5000 and I paid 6000 (Canadian) but he also got a re-entry visa, and I didn't.

Thanks for the advice, my recruiter had suggested 70 000 won for the day was fine and when we were given 100k we thought all the better, thank God I checked here before we left otherwise we would have been screwed with only 100k.

The Yanks with me paid 5400 Yen, as a Canadian I paid 6000, they also received a multiple entry and I only got the single.

On the other hand, Canucks are the only ones who can get a six month tourist visa for Korea.

Actually that extra 600 yen makes up what is called a "Celine Compensation Tax".
