While Away, would one of these neck pillows do? You can find them in Home Plus. I love mine. Seems to be just the same as the one I had in the U.S.

Can anyone tell me what the luggage restrictions are? I'm coming from the U.S.
I have a huge list of stuff to bring for my one year in Korea not to mention the load of stuff I have to bring for family members (christmas gifts and stuff)

All I know is 70lbs is the limit but how many pieces of luggage can I bring three???
Confused

Buy it in the states. It's all made in China anyway.

The only thing my people want from Korea is stuff with Korean writting.

I wish I had bought more of those subway map bandanas.

My sister got me. She actually lied to me and said she had paid stuff
that she hadn't paid. She said it stressed her out. I still don't
understand why it stressed her out. I wasn't asking her to
pay the bills with my money.

I found some cheap shampoo in a plastic refill bag. I haven't tried it yet.
The Elastine seems to be pretty concentrated and if you want to buy extremely large amounts sometimes Emart has a deal.

I brought my favorite brand of toothpaste from home.

They have Subway here. I saw the prices and didn't buy anything.

I'm pretty sure I saw Sunchips in the Emart. They have Doritos and Cheetos everywhere. Some people say they taste different. Plain tortilla chips are expensive but not worth bringing in your luggage.

I bought some Pace at Emart but it was so expensive that I decided to
make my own. I live in the red pepper capital of Korea.

Rollerblades.

The river trail that runs from the Bundang area to Seoul is making me drool.

I will have to either buy them or have them shipped over...although shipping them will cost a pretty penny.

Cheers,

I wish I had brought an effective anti-perspirant.
Bought some on ebay though!

Blu-tack and Duraseal ... apparently Koreans have no need to hang up posters or protect their paperbacks. Confused

Well I don't regret not bringing anything.. but I regret bringing my PS3 from the US. It was a pain carrying it all the way from 3 bus transfers, 2 train transfers to O'Hare, an hour layover.. etc... to just play call of duty four.. which is available in korea everywhere.

I have a desktop and I was wondering if I should bother bringing it or just wait a few pay checks and buy one out there. Maybe a laptop would be a better choice. should I just have all my stuff shipped to me once i'm settled?

Depends on what kind of Desktop you have and what you're using it for.

If you're just using it for browsing and email, use the PC bangs here. It's cheap, gives you an excuse to go out, grab a cream soda.

I brought my laptop over and I kind of regret, I don't use the damn thing, have to pay for internet (which only works half the time), And I only check email and use daves, which I do 80% of the time at work anyways.

If you're internet addicted and use it to pass the time it's worth it. But if you work out, have a crazy social life, then it's definately a waste.

I wish I'd brought a powerstrip for 120v, to go with the step-down convertor. I have to keep switching out plugs everytime I want to use an electronic item brought from home. By the way, does anyone know if you can get a powerstrip with plugs for 120v equipment anywhere here in Korea?
