I can't say i've heard many.
In fact, I can only think of one but it's GREAT!
When my middle school students say they 'just spent the day doing nothing at home"....they just say "dingle dingle dingle" and gesture that they were rolling around at home.
definite western propensity:
what, what'dyu do last nigh..
oh...dingle dingle...

I know of two:
1) When it is raining when the sun is shining: "It's the tiger's wedding day".
2) When winter lingers on: "Winter is jealous of the spring flowers."
I think the second one is especially apt. Wish I'd thought of it. |

I found myself using "nay" alot when I went back home.. confused the hell out of everyone.. they had no idea if I was agreeing with them or not..
As-ah, I-eesh, "nice-a" and "yes-a" all have found permant residence in my arsenal.. |

| "Ai go" and "jajingna" are in my thoughts often enough. And I like the "yaaa" (as in HEY) with the kids too. |
