Yeah, that.

Wouldn't mind writing for some paper or magazine, or a journalist/reporter who gets to travel a bit. Or some boring research dude. Or work in a library... now that's excitement! Or Uni. Prof with tenure in my home country (sorta envy my brother on that one)

One of my friends has a masters in Library Science.. he loves it.. he works at a University Library and reads half of the day.. very relaxed.. great retirement and he gets free classes.

I started down that path myself a few years ago.. started a program in Queens, New York.. but after starting the first semester.. I just had this sinking feeling of being stuck and not being able to get out and roam around this big planet.. if I didn't have this unsatiable wanderlust.. that would be my second choice..

Rock journalist.

Meet interesting people. See a lot of live music. Get to listen to new music before others. Make good money.

Most importantly,

Be involved in something I love.

I wanted to be a pop star, wrote hundreds of songs, performed a lot, and recorded a CD of orginal stuff. I'm realistic that it won't happen on a big scale now, recording contract with Sony and all that. But I aim to put out original CD's all my life. That's why I 'm here, to get the cash for a really high quality digital home recording studio. I'd happy if that could be a second income job. Even like to expand out into writing and producing for others when I've got the gear down pat.

There are others, but they all need so much drive and dedication. When there's time away from work, music always grabs my passion first. But let's just imagine there were limitless hours in the day...

Writer: and yep, it would be a modern novel very much about the battle of the sexes, with deep erotic content but not pornographic, a bit like Anais Nin

Translator: Yeah, I'd love to be fluent in Korean and do some work in that feild.

Rental property owner: This one is possible, I don't aim to work past my fifties

Club/Bar owner: specialise in bringing the best DJ's in the world to a top class dance club somewhere beautiful like Thailand

Cafe/Bakery owner: not to work in, just set up the concept and get it going. I'd love to bring real top class bread to Seoul!

About every ten seconds I had a new career goal. It's a family joke.

- now that I'm older, a writer/journalist. Am thinking of doing yet another degree - this time in journalism. I would quite like to do 60 mins, or something sim.

- create jewlery. I guess that's called a "Jewler"??

- The NZ Minister of education. If i keep teaching.

- and I intend to own a few business - hair salon, cafe/bar thing.

Who needs to lobby if you're going to be prime minister. Remember it's not what you know, but who you know that counts!
