Has anyone had their passport expire while you were still on contract? Say you were on your second year and your passport will expire before the end of the year--what did you do? Is it pretty simple to get a new one issued while still overseas and retain the visa, or is it a huge hassle?

You don't search here much, do you? Besides, you're in San Diego; get a new one.

Just trying to keep everyone on their toes. Sorry, should have searched first. I've already sent my passport in to some companies and don't want to jeapordize the application process by causing a hassle with my passport now. Unless the school brings it up, I'll just get a new passport later.

Your school probably won't even look at the expiration date of your passport. Renew it at home.
