OOPS, You can always get what you want, besides being the shortstop for the New York Mets or Yankees, I couldn't be more fascinated about things than I am now. I have so many jolting expeirences over here, from teaching in juvenille boy's prison for two years, and letting go of a beautiful woman in Spain to make a life in Korea (life is by proxy anywhere you go) As a New Yorker experiencing 9/11 here and out of those ashes creating a cross-cultural/ bilingual magazine-- www.lifeinkorea.org -- to be in a divided country that will not stand forever, to seeing the world cup and end up equating nationalism with Soccer, to seeing the Yoko Ono exhibit in Asia... well these are only big things....

There are two kinds of people in the world, those who want to be something and those who want to do something. The first kind are rarely down-to-earth and able, the second kind live that way no matter they are.

You sound very cool. All power to you. But there are many kinds of ways to achieve satisfaction. Recording an original CD floats my boat to the ultra max, and I happily give up other experiences to acheive goals like that. And I plan to do it again and again. Worth doing once, worth doing many many times.

If you teach ESL conscienciously and well, or do any job to your best ability, you will have satisfaction, honour, and happiness. ESL is only second rate if you believe/ make it so.
What job I do is pretty much a side issue. Its who you are as a person, not what job you do, that matters.

I wanted to be a ..........

Flamenco guitarist/teacher/performer/composer

and of course, my first experience at seeing a porn movie left me hard pressed to remember my goals. I knew there was only one thing to do: take myself in hand and let my fingers do the talking. Shocked
If only they made porn stars out of fat ugly old guys, I'd still have a chance. Laughing Laughing Laughing

cheers
