That is really strange- it is coming up for me. I don't know how else to check it. It and my avatar are coming through on my computer.
Anyone else see my pictures? Am I living in my own little self-referential universe? |

This I don't get at all. Wherever I see my posts I see my avatar, ditto my killer picture of Mexico City. I know that I am totally stupid about technology, but how is it possible for me to see it and no one else? |

You are using free web space. msnusers does not allow remote loading. |

You can see it because you're logged in to MSN. It's on your space, under your MSN ID, therefore you can see it where-ever you link to it. Other users who try to go to that image:
http://www.msnusers.com/in0l8o1ai4srig4ttjqrspj0s3/Documents/Pictures%2Fkids.jpg
get redirected here:
http://login.passport.net/uilogin.srf?id=1929
And that's only if they've pulled up the URL to try and see the picture. On Dave's it just shows up as a blank space (in Mozilla) or a red X (in IE).
Free hosts - MSN, Yahoo, Geocities, Tripod, Anglefire, etc... - do not allow remote linking. Many pay sites (other people's sites) won't allow you to remotely link to their images and files either, as it cuts into their monthly bandwidth allotment. The best solution (though not free) is to set up your own webspace through some hosting company. That way you can link away to your heart's content and share your pics and files with anybody you feel like - and everybody you don't, if you allow other to link to your files. |

Thanks everyone. I won't be using MSN anymore. I knew that I was importing the photos correctly, so I was getting quite frustrated. I"ll wait till I get a website- not through MSN. I hate microsoft. |

Let me count the reasons. . .
I used to live in Seattle, and saw friends lose their businesses to the rapacious business practices of microsoft. I do have to admit to ambivalence about Gates- he has bad business ethics, I think, but he is leading the way in humanitarian terms, and in terms of ethics regarding tax policy.
Anyway, I don't like the way that Microsoft has gobbled up everything in sight. In Seattle they would contract with a small business, over time become their sole client (always a bad idea for a small business) and then simply subsume the business. It happened a lot. That is my major beef. |

Go to a pic you want to post. Right click on properties. It'll give you the URL for the pic. |
I can't find the URL address. i right click but I just get a big list, all in hangul. i understand the copy and paste procedure but how do I get a pictures URL.
If you haven't noticed I'm useless at computers. |
